Mileage Rates for 2013

The IRS and most States allow a deduction for use of your personal vehicle. You can deduct mileage used for business, or as an employee as well as part of your medical or moving expenses as well as miles driven for charitable purposes. There are different rates allowed per mile and they are:

  • Business use - 56.5¢/mile
  • Medical/moving - 24.0¢/mile
  • Charitable purposes - ¢14.0/mile
Certain rules apply and not all miles are eligible. For more information about this topic, please comment below or call us for a free consultation. You may also see the official IRS website page that deals with this topic:,-Medical-and-Moving
